Farm Employment

At Waldoch Farm and Joyer Adventure Farm, we have various employment opportunities throughout the year. We are looking for passionate, honest and caring individuals that have a high standard for quality, will take initiative, be able to follow directions, and assist our customers. With customer service being a top priority for all positions. 

We offer flexible schedules to high school and college students, parents who want to work while their children are at school, and retirees or other adults who want to supplement their income. 

Waldoch Farm is a retailer farm, which makes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday our busiest days, with the most hours available. We work around our staff’s availability, however, the more available you are the more likely it that we will consider you for employment.

We accept applications throughout the year. You are more than welcome to drop off an application at any time. Do not hesitate to apply during any time of year in case we need some reinforcements to finish the season strong. However, these positions may have already been filled for the season. See when interviews are typically held for each position for the best time to apply.

Garden Center
Interviews: March and April
Garden Center worker applications, which include those applying for positions in customer service, as cashiers, and as waterers.

Seasonal Positions:

We need the most help starting in early June, weeding the fields. Depending on the season, we hire a few people for work in May when a lot of schools are done for the summer. 

In the summer months; the hours are typically 7am to 12pm or 3pm. During August we need a few more people to help Harvest the crops.

Many roles that need to be filled to help guests have a fun and safe time at Joyer Adventure Farm.

When the Strawberries start to ripen Joyer Adventure Farm will open 6 days a week for U-pick.
Strawberry Seasonal Positions: 
Tractor Drivers, Activity Attendants, Ticket Booth Sales, Fruit Sales, and Food Service workers.

Most of the positions with Fall Fun are on the weekends. We also need extra help on “MEA” on the farm. Check the Joyer Adventure Farm hours of operations for typical work hours.
Sunflower and Fall Fun Seasonal Positions:

We take a couple of months off of production and retail in the winter for the holiday season. However, our business continues to grow in scope and size each year. We are looking for quality candidates for the following positions:
Store Manager
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Store Manager with a strong background in retail management. This role involves leading a team, managing the sales floor, and ensuring exceptional customer service while fostering a welcoming environment for our customers. The Store Manager works with and under the direction of the General Manager to ensure that the overall daily operations of the Garden Center are being met in accordance to company policies and standards. They also collaborate with merchandising, buying and inventory control to ensure that the store has the proper merchandising assortment, inventory levels and that the inventory is displayed in the best manner. The retail team that is supervised by the Store Manager can expand to over 20 in May on one day and reduce as the season progresses.
Marketing Coordinator or Marketing Paid Internship
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Marketing Coordinator with a strong background in social media marketing. The Marketing Coordinator will utilize advertising to gain and retain customers by exploring their needs, wants, and demands. Some responsibilities include: planning out the annual marketing schedule and budget, contacting marketing agents for quotes, contacting new vendors, preparing and designing advertisements, and posting and responding to posts on social media platforms like Google and Facebook. The Marketing Coordinator will also coordinate and proof the e-newsletter, and keep our website and farm hours on Google, Facebook, Yelp, and iPhone up to date.
