Joyer Adventure Farm: Pick Your Own Strawberries!

Joyer Adventure Farm - Strawberry  Days

Strawberry Days ends June 30th

Pick Your Own Strawberries will be another featured activity of Joyer Adventure Farm starting in mid June.  Harvest is very dependent on Mother Nature and the field may get picked clean. Joyer Adventure Farm will remain open for the day even if the berries get picked clean. Pick Your Own Strawberries are an additional cost.

It has been over 30 years since we have had strawberries at Waldoch Farm. The 4th generation only has memories from childhood of growing around 8 acres in the 80's and early 90's. We planted 2 acres of strawberries last year for the pick your own customers that buy a general admission ticket to Joyer Adventure Farm. We will have a wagon ride to the strawberries included as part of admission to Joyer Adventure Farm. Once the crop comes in, we will find out if there will be enough extra strawberries to pick and have available for sale at Grandpa’s Roadstand.

Join us other times of the year, too!

Strawberry: Picking Ends June 30th

During the Strawberry harvest Joyer Adventure Farm will be open 6 days a week 10am to 5 pm(Closed on Tuesdays) with all activities running

Strawberries will be sold by the container for pick your own! You can buy the containers on the farm. There are 3 sizes. A quart container, a 2-quart box with a handle and a 4 quart bucket. The strawberry season is very short. In 2023 we planted Honeoye, Jewel, and Sonata. This year we planted AAC-Evelyn and Flavorfest for next year’s harvest. With only 3 varieties our harvest window might be shorter than other farms. The harvest could be as short as 14 days. The new varieties we added should lengthen the harvest window next year. We will communicate how the fields are looking on a daily basis during harvest. We are currently expecting harvest to begin Sunday June 16th.
